As the copywriter for the Crooked Media’s merch store, I write copy that communicates Crooked’s progressive values while staying irreverent and self-aware.

When Crooked launched a coffee line, I owned the creation of the Crooked Coffee brand voice and created all the copy for the brand’s packaging, website, and launch marketing.

I was recently brought onto the merch iteration team to help refresh merch offerings and come up with products that Crooked fans love. Here’s a favorite.


Aside from writing for The Onion itself, I’ve also helped market the recently-relaunched physical newspaper.

One project I’m particularly proud of: The Onion was looking for a splashy, out-of-the-box way to get the paper in the news and I pitched the idea of sending copies of The Onion to every member of congress. I also wrote the satirical letter from The Onion’s CEO character to go along with it, which you can read here.


Pizza Hut

I was the on-set punch-up writer for a series of Pizza Hut commercials starring Craig Robinson. I love working fast and coming up with jokes on the fly, so this was a blast.
